Blue & Outlaw

Sandstone sculpture, ash enamel. The work evokes a solitary rock jostled by the elements, wind, water and time. The clay block was fired several times and at very high temperatures. The earth collected in Corsica was mixed with sandstone from elsewhere. The piece is heavy, its "stocky" shape gives off a feeling of strength and robustness, of adaptation. The color work evokes water: liquid and solid.
